Super mario galaxy is hopelessly scratched?? please help!?

I got super mario galaxy a little under a year ago and was beating it in a hurry, my "friend" asked me if he could borrow it, i said yes because i was going on vacation any way, i got back and got it back from him, i slapped it into my wii ( not litterally ) and it said the game could not be read, wow was i happy ( NOT!! ) i spent 50$ for it and havvent played it for about 9 months, i want to play it really bad now, i examened it, 100's of minor scratches on the outer rim, some more speculating and found 2-3 major deep scratches, i first washed it with water and nothing, than i looked up on the enternet, i read toothpaste, peanut butter, the tube with the scratch repair stuff and the machine, i had all of them, i started with a mornings toothpaste amount of toothpaste on the disk, i rubbed it very carefully all around, i washed it and it was the same and had a few additional scratches, very angry i checked out the internet again, yup still what i found out, ( at the moment i didnt know i had the disk repair machine and i hadnt bought any disk repair paste ) so i tried the toothpaste again, severly scratched even more, i left it alone and the next day i invested in some disk repairing paste, i put it on very carefully and rubbed it in with a soft cloth, it was looking 1% better so i did it again and then it was 40% worse, i tried toothpaste again and it made it about 5% better and then i found the machine, extremely happy, i got it all setup, added the cleaning wheels and the liquid ( not the same stuff as before ) and turned it on, it worked so i started with tthe repair button, i took it out and discovered 99% of the little minor scratches gone but the wheels left circular scratches all over the disc, i tried all the different wheels and washed it over and over, soft cloth and tried it, once again it said it diddnt work! GGGRRRR

So my game is virtually useless now, the machine is a Alera Technologies DVD/CD repair plus kit, with all the wheels brushes and all, can you please help!!!!Super mario galaxy is hopelessly scratched?? please help!?
As you said, the disk is hopeless I would go after your friend if I was you. He owes you a new or used copy of that game.Super mario galaxy is hopelessly scratched?? please help!?
try cleaning it with toothpaste.

If that doesn't work, a lot of game shops do disc cleaning and repair.
