I am looking to get a laptop for my son for christmas. I was wondering if it was a good one for the price. It's an HP Pavilion g6-1b60us AMD 2.5GHz 15.6" LED-Backlit Widescreen Notebook. It's stats are AMD A4-3300M 2.5GHz dual-core processor, 15.6" 1366x768 LED-backlit widescreen LCD, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, AMD Radeon HD 6480G graphics, webcam, 802.11n wireless, 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
It is $350. He wants it to play Minecraft and Happy Wheels. He is looking to become a commentator. Thanks to all who answer.|||it is a great laptop for those uses. the amd a4 processor is part of the a series that came out recently from AMD and compared to similar intel laptops out perform the intels. this particular laptop operates at 1.9 ghz normally until a program needs the extra speed/power and then the processor turbo boosts up to 2,5 ghz,. this accomplishes two things. saving on battery life and heat stress. the less energy it uss the less heat it produces so the coolor the laptop runs. it also has a dedicated graphics card. the graphics card and the processor share the same physical space but operate independently. thats called an apu, or advanced processing unit. it has several advantages such as running more efficiently, running cooler, using less energy then a tradition processor and graphics card that are separate. intel doesnt have an apu yet. so go ahead and get it., it will last him at least 4 years or more, just depending on the programs he uses in the future.|||I think it is really good price for that laptop. And with that laptop he would run much much more demanding games and appliciations. And goog luck :)|||this laptops are good and they have lower end ones that could probably fit your budget. If you could spend a bit more
