Well, with number 8 I'm going with one of the big mind-blower tracks from one of the big mind-blower records in my life. I remember hearing this one for the first time and I felt like I was hearing a brand new kind of rock for the first time. I know that's a little melodramatic in hindsight, but man it's a cool track.

Radiohead - Paranoid Android

So, what did you think? What's your favorite Radiohead track?

Thanks a ton everybody. I'm just getting crushed at work today (I'm just now eating lunch and it's going to have to be a really quick one. I've only got an hour left and still a lot to accomplish).

Hope you're all doing really great.|||The Michael Jackson is in a crypt at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale while the rest of us are left here to endure the resurgence of his saccharine pop abominations and wails of mourning by revisionist "fans" who would've made a MJ joke rather than listen to him sing a year ago.

John Lennon - Watching The Wheels is a great tune. Engaging piano and poignant lyrics about real life experience.

Hi Prof,

Paranoid Android is a nice pick. My favorite Radiohead song is constantly changing. I've been listening to In Rainbows alot lately and I'm not ashamed to admit that I still have a soft spot for The Bends but I'd probably pick something from Kid A for a favorite maybe "The National Anthem." And 'Karma Police" always tops my list.

Enjoying the countdown. Can't wait to see what's number one although that revelation will mean the end.|||Wow, where did those 92 questions go?

Love "Paranoid Android". I had a similar experience with "OK Computer". I remember buying it, hearing the first half of "Airbag" and being blown away. I almost played that record to death and I still love it!

I couldn't choose a single favourite Radiohead song!|||hey Prof Anger

this is my favorite Radiohead song! my 2nd favorite would have to be Subterranean Homesick Alien. It took me a while to get into Radiohead, but i eventually did. now i love them!|||Paranoid Android is the song that got me into Radiohead. It's such a good song and it has so many layers. This is my favorite Radiohead song with the exception of Lucky and maybe Karma Police|||Hey Prof, I'm not really a big Radiohead fan, but that is one of the few Radiohead songs I've been able to get into. I do love their song Nude though, that's pretty much my favorite by them.|||good day, prof

radiohead, eh.

never been able to see the point. leaves me colder than a jar of liquid nitrogen, encased in an iceberg somewhere near the arctic circle.

give me a schizoid robot instead.|||my favorite is no surprises

i've been a bit buried at work today too, but i'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. have a good day prof, dont let the work flow getcha down.|||Holy crap! When I saw you asked for something mind blowing I was going to suggest Paranoid Android! Yes, definitely go with that track. It's one of the best songs ever.

Some other favorite Radiohead songs:

Exit Music

Where I End and You Begin

No Surprises

How to Disappear Completely

Idioteque

Life in a Glass House

Weird Fishes

All I Need

Street Spirit

Fake Plastic Trees|||Hi Prof,

"Ok Computer" is just an amazing album. Truly life-changing. "Paranoid Android" is one of the longest tracks ever produced by Radiohead. The song has sections like a classical musical masterpiece with a mid-tempo rhythm allowing the melody to really expand. I can clearly see why this song would make your list. It has all the complications of today's world where we are bombarded by constant media. We become skeptical. We become "paranoid." We are pushed through phases of being numbed out due to sensory overload and reeling in anxiousness when our nerves are pricked sharp. We are never allowed to feel comfortable, life is a constant adjustment.

I swing between "Paranoid Android" and "Lucky" - I am a sucker for emotional songs.

Have a great one, Prof!|||Hey Prof, thanks for posting even while you're under heavy fire.

I must say, this is definitely one of those albums. OK Computer is a fantastic album. "Paranoid Android", man I remember when this first came out, the video was awesome. I was fairly young at the time, but I knew I was getting in on something special, something that wasn't just the flavor of the week.

I was curious, because I knew Radiohead was coming, and I was anticipating the song choice. Excellent job Prof.

My favorite Radiohead song is "Just". Wonderful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIFLtNYI3鈥?/a>

Happy Tuesday, see ya on the next post.|||Punch's favorite band

he loves radiohead so much

he just wanted to simply tell you that

no long winded, self serving paragraphs, seeing how I might have gone overboard on the Paul simon one..

thank you, Pro this has been a remarkable journey you have led us down and I thank you for letting us into your music so completely, indeed sad to realize that this, like life

will sadly come to an end

terrific selection

on to the next one!!|||Great song, Radiohead would be near the top of my list of favourite artists.

It took me a while to get into OK Computer when I bought it some years ago as I found it to be too dark for me at the time but I eventually grew to love it. Paranoid Android is an odd but brilliant song and would definitely be among the highlights of the album. I remember one time I was listening to an interview with the drummer, Phil Selway, on the radio where he described it's sound as the Pixies doing a version of Bohemian Rhapsody. I think that's a pretty good description of it.

My favourite overall Radiohead song would either be Reckoner or Fake Plastic Trees.|||great choice

Fake Plastic Trees

take care

dave|||Oh, I love that song!!

Radiohead is one of the great surprises of the last 20 yrs, imo.

Always, trying new things and never afraid to take chances.

Great choice!!

I love the Viddy, too :)

My fave track? -- Well, I know this looks like a "brown-nose" maneuvre, but BECAUSE of that Viddy, "Paranoid Android" has always been my fave track by them.

My second fave track is probably, "House of Cards" from the last album.

That album took some criticism, but it grew on me, rapidly.

I think all their albums are "special" and Great!! :)|||hey babe

i dont really like your list

wheres michael jackson

or are you saving all his songs till the top 5?

p.s. i can think of 1000 songs better than #24

love ya babe
