last night i noticed blood on the back of one of my hamsters i wasn't sure if they were fighting the night before or playing i have separated them just now using the cage and a fish tank borrowed from my sister do i keep them separated or try to bring them both back together as they never fought till now and seemed quite happy in each other company they was a problem with the wheel and i have put in a new wheel could this have caused the problem ?|||If they're males they will fight and will never be homed together again. How old are they? If the're females there is a chance they couldve been playing or it was an injury sustained by something else but if they were fighting its unlikely they will live together again now theyve been separated. If they do, they can never be trusted. I doubt it has anything to do with the new wheel. Territory problems when rodents and other animals reach maturity are so common. They should tell you this at the pet shop, but most pet shop assistants are useless and just want your money, hence why you should do your own research. It will probably be easier and better for everyone to rehome them separatley permanently. Your hammies will be just as happy living solitary.
Xxx|||separate them mate!|||In this case, it have connections to the territory problems each wants to concur. However when in the matter of "fighting" it means that you can clearly hear their squeaks. If not, it's just them playing around with each other. But now that you've separated them, it'll be best to remain it that way. Find homes for each to stay[or if you want to keep both only under separate compartments]. I hope things goes well for your situation there; good luck :]
