Still----a Big Screen Dilemma---how to solve the problem and be happy with a $2.5K set?

Have returned 2-65" sets.Mits (hummed) %26amp; Toshiba (bad color). Now am having a choice between Samsung Led Rear proj 61"and Sony SXRD 60". Have read reviews and heard of a pixel prob with one of the sets and dim color on another. Does anyone have anything to recommend on either of these. The color on the Mits was great but could NOT stand the humming noise from the color wheel. Any suggestions? Right now I do not have cable or dish but have an inside antenna and a Panasonic DVR (which I cannot get to record while watching another TV show. I am at the bottom of the tech understanding group. Only have a Master in Education.|||I have the Sony SXRD 60", and have been very happy with it. $2500 is a bit high though. I paid that about 8 months ago when the model was going to be going away. Try haggling for $2000-2300. The current model is the XBR based sets, which were a bit better looking, but wouldn't fit in our cabinet and were much more expensive.

We have the TV in our brightly lit family room, and we've not had a problem with the screen being dim or anything like that.|||I have the 55" version of the Sony, and it works great. I'm very happy with the purchase.

In order to get the most out of it I really do recommend getting the HD programming from your satellite provider. I have used Directv for years, and recently upgraded to the HD programming, and it's pretty darn spectacular.
