My hamster died...RIP, Cujo?

This morning he was running in his wheel and seemed happy. I just went to get him out to play and he's dead. There is nothing like vomit, body fluid, or anything strange in his cage. He was about 2 years old. What could have happened? What are the signs of a sick hamster? Poor Cujo. He was so much fun to have around. He will be missed. I have him in a Ziplock in the freezer. We will lay him to rest at sunrise tomorrow. :(|||Goodnight Cujo, forever :(|||I don't know what happened but I am sorry Cujo is gone :(. I'll say a little prayer for him.|||aww i'm so sorry poor Cujo. x[

i know how it feels since i've lost a hamster that was practically my best friend. There's many signs of a sick hamster.





-diseases


-chokes on something


-sickness


-organs fail working


-ect ect





but i'm not sure what Cujo has since there's no sign of anything.





i'm sorry again. star for Cujo |||i think he just died of old age. that is the normal life span of a ham. |||Unfortunately I never had a hamster that lived much longer than 2 years either. I don't think he was sick though...probably just his time. RIP Cujo.

cujo|||Awwww. I'm so sorry about Cujo. Hamsters, unfortunately, just don't live that long. They really only have about 2 good years or so in them. I know he lived a good life with you to take care of him though.|||I'm so sorry :(

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I do not know much about small rodentia, but I know they don't really live all that long, either. Maybe he was already old!
