How do I make my hamster's cage more interesting?

I really want my hamster to be happy. So I want to add more toys. The thing is, I don't know what to get. I have a really basic cage. It only has: a wheel, a hidey house, 2 chew blocks, food dish, water bottle, and this little chewable ball. So I am looking for more ideas. I can't add tubes or anything because of the type of cage. I take him out everyday though. But still, I want him to be happy inside the cage. Any ideas?|||Some hamsters love hammocks! They provide great use of the cage's height if there is no room on the floor. You can google how to make your own, or buy one at most pet stores. Sometimes they are labeled for ferrets or rats. If your hamster is skeptical of it, put some of his favorite treats in it. Also, there are ways to make (or buy if you want to spend the money) fleece tubes that hang in the cage. Gosh that is a long link...If you are crafty (or someone you know) you can EASILY sew these on your own out of fleece or flannel and just use like book clips or curtain rod hangers to attach it.|||You don't want to add too much stuff or he won't have space to move around!


Hamsters love burrowing so you can always add lint from a dryer or pices of paper and newspaper in. Also instead of plastic tubes you could always put in old paper towel rolls!|||One thing i did was get a toilet paper roll %26amp; decorate it with NON-TOXIC marker :)





And i also bought a toy ball from my local pet store!
