well he is very old, he will be 3 in june, and since he is a russian dwarf, he should have only lived for 2 years. but he is very healthy and active for his age. he loves running in his wheel every night, and he loves having a run in his ball.|||Keep his usual routine since it is serving him well into his old age.
My friends had a Russian dwarf hamster who lived 3 1/2 years and won 1st place running in his ball in a race at the Petsmart at his very old age of 3 years.
You're so lucky to enjoy your little friend for so long.|||Feed him some hamster treats. Hamsters really enjoy them and as long as you only feed them a few per day they won't do anything to their health. Hope that helps. ( :|||get him a companian so he won't feel so lonely and sad when u are not around.maybe this can make him happy|||If he isn't broke, don't try to fix him! lol... whatever you're doing, keep doing it and if he likes to be held, hold him a little longer and give him a pat on the head every once in a while. Give him some of his favorite seeds to stuff his pouches with, etc. etc. :)|||i have seen people train there hamsters like agility lol like to jump over stuff to get a treat i mean they have videos on youtube.com
